My Top 10 TV Shows that everyone needs to know about

Make a top 10 list of anything. It could be your favorite songs, music, sportspeople etc. Or it could be school related, like your ‘top 10 moments from the school year so far’ or your ‘top 10 lunchtime activities’.

  1. Teen Wolf

Teen wolf revolves around Scott McCall who is a high school student as well as his group of friends that live in the small town of Beacon Hills. Their whole lives gets turned upside down when Scott is bitten by a werewolf the night before his sophomore year, becoming a werewolf himself. Teen wolf is at the top of my list because it has a good combination of action and comedy which are two of my favorite genres. I have re watched Teen wolf 5 times by now.

2 The chilling adventures of Sabrina

The chilling adventures of Sabrina is an adaptation of the “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” tale. In the show Sabrina Spellman battles to live both her mortal and witch life in unison while having her life as well as her family’s life threatened. I never read any of the books for the original story but once I started watching the show on Netflix I was immediately hooked.

3. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

The show revolves around Jake Peralta who is an NYPD detective in Brooklyn’s 99th Precinct, who is often getting into trouble with his new Captain, Raymond Holt. One of the reasons why Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of my favorite TV shows is because it is very comedic and every time I watch a new episode I have tears streaming down my face because of how hard I am laughing.

4. Skam

The TV show Skam also, known as Shame in the U.S., is a Norwegian tv show that is portrayed as a web series that follows the daily life of teenagers at a Norwegian school that is located Norway. Each season Skam follows a new main character. Each season has focus on particular topics, like eating disorders, sexual assault, homosexuality, and etc. The reason why I liked SKAM was because it was a foreign TV show and so it had a lot of foreign topics that American TV shows wouldn’t have.

5. Haikyu!!

The Anime focuses on Hinata, who at the time is a middle school student, who suddenly gains a love of volleyball after seeing a volleyball competition on tv. His dream is to become like his favorite player, the “Tiny Giant”. His dreams are soon crushed after his first official match, where his team is defeated by the middle school championship favourite team, which includes Kageyama who is known as the “King of the Court”. The reason why Haikyu isn’t higher up on my list even though it is one of my favorite Anime’s is because im personally not the biggest fan of anime’s. Even though I do have some anime’s that I love, when compared to regular tv shows they usually come second. It’s one of my favorite anime’s because it revolves around a sport and I love shows that revolve around a sport.

6. Hit the Floor

Hit the Floor revolves around a basketball team named the Los Angeles Devils and around their dance squad named the Devil Girls. The season starts of with Ahsha trying to join the devil girls since her mother used to be an original Devil Girl. While she’s at auditions she meets Derek who is one of the top players for the Los Angeles Devils. Throughout the season’s Ahsha develops a lot of romantic relationships as well as friendships and enemies. The reason Hit the Floor is so low on my list even though it is one of my favorite TV shows is because of the last season. The last season was absolutely horrible, all of the original charters left in the fourth season and the plot had completely changed. It felt like a completely different show.

7. A Discovery of Witches.

The TV show is based off a book that was written by Deborah Harkness. It follows Diana Bishop who is a witch that has been neglecting her powers since she was a child, but when she discovers a manuscript that was thought to be lost for all of eternity she is compelled to embrace her powers. A Discovery of Witches is so low on my list because so far there is only one season with the second season being released later this year. Since there is only one season there’s only so much that I can base my opinion off of.

8. Dynasty

Dynasty follows the lives of the Carrington family and the drama that they face on a daily basis. It is based on the 1980’s soap opera of the same name. The show begins with Fallon finding out that her father is engaged to crystal who is a rival employee. The season progresses with Fallon trying to do everything she can to break up her fathers relationship.

9. VEEP

Veep focuses on Selina Meyer, who was a former senator but is currently the vice president, trying to fight her way into the presidency. She deals with all of the drama that goes on in the white house and trying to make sure that everything is under control while also trying to maintain an innocent image for when she decides to run for president. One of the reasons as to why I was so interested in this show is because I thought it was a unique topic that hadn’t been done before.

10. How to Get Away with Murder

How to Get Away with Murder follows the lives of Annalise Keating, Connor Walsh, Michaela Pratt, Asher Millstone Laurel Castillo, and Wes Gibbins. Annalise is a professor who teaches defense law while the rest are her students who are taking her class. She chooses them to assist her with cases so that they get a better understanding of the law and the things and sacrifices that they’ll have to make if they want to win.
