Last year during the summer me and my family decided to go to Orlando, Florida for my birthday. We were only there for 4 days and could only really do anything for 2 which isn’t a lot but it was enough for us considering we didn’t want to do a lot. Our plan was to go to Universal Studios one day which is where I really wanted to go and then go to Disney World the next day which is where my brother and his girlfriend really wanted to go.

Almost immediately our trip was not going great because the whole plan for the trip was for my whole family to go which meant my mom, dad, brother, and his girlfriend but then 2 days before our trip my dad got really sick which meant that he couldn’t go. Then the day of our trip right as we were boarding our first flight we got an email saying that our second flight had been canceled, since we had layover. Luckily they were able to book us another flight and so once we got to Louisiana we boarded our second flight after having been delayed for 2 hours.

Once we got to Florida we went to our hotel, checked in, and fell asleep. The next day we went to Universal Studios and I just had a lot of fun. We were wandering around looking at all the different themed areas, taking pictures, going to all the stores and buying stuff. Then we got to Harry Potter World and I became obsessed. I was taking pictures of absolutely everything going into every single store that we passed because I didn’t want to miss anything. I was buying a lot of candies, shirts, pins and just everything that I could get my hands on. I got to go to knockturn alley which I thought was pretty cool because it was all dark and mysterious. Overall I had a pretty good time just walking around everywhere. Then once I had seen everything we left and walked around the rest of the park, went to some of the shows that they were hosting and got to see a lot of characters.
The next day we went to Disney World and since the minute that we arrived I did not like it. The only thing that I enjoyed about Disney World was how we got to take a ferry to the Magical Kingdom and how once we were there I got to ride carousel which was the first time I had ever been on one. Once we got to the Magical Kingdom there was a bunch of long lines of people trying to get in and then it was also way hotter that day compared to the day before when we went to Universal Studios. After half an hour of waiting in line we finally got in and I just wasn’t excited. Everything was obviously Disney themed and while everybody else was really excited I was just bored because I never really watched a lot of Disney so I wasn’t familiar with a lot of the characters and the ones I did recognize I just wasn’t obsessed with them. We spent a couple of hours walking around going in and out of stores, we watched the performance that they had going on, and got to walk through the castle. Then we went and watched some of the shows that they were hosting , got on some rides, and then got something to eat. After all of that we were really tired and it had gotten extremely hot so we decided to leave and go back to our hotel room. Then the next day we packed up, went to the airport, and headed back home.
Overall it was really fun trip and I really enjoyed it and I would definitely go again but this time I would only go to Universal Studios and spend the other day just exploring Florida and wondering around.
